Zebra labels and media

Choose media by the exact hardware configuration, thermal technology, sensing and roll geometry. A specification match requires more than the printed label size.

Desktop thermal printers

Select by the exact hardware configuration and a complete media specification. Specific supplier SKUs need separate evidence.

Zebra ZD421

Select media by the exact ZD421 configuration. Zebra specifies different media-width limits for direct thermal, standard thermal transfer and cartridge printers. The specification table is a screening tool, not a list of universally compatible SKUs.

Zebra ZD220

The ZD220 technical sheet specifies a 25.4–112 mm media range and 104 mm maximum print width. Check the exact thermal configuration, sensor placement, stock thickness and roll/core constraints below. No individual third-party label SKU has been confirmed here.

Zebra ZD230

The ZD230 technical sheet specifies a 25.4–112 mm media range and 104 mm maximum print width. Check the exact thermal configuration, sensor placement, stock thickness and roll/core constraints below. No individual third-party label SKU has been confirmed here.

Zebra GK420d

The GK420d user guide identifies direct thermal printing at 203 dpi. Use heat-sensitive stock and review its roll, continuous and fanfold loading instructions. A complete numeric media-width envelope has not been established from this reviewed guide; no exact label SKU is confirmed here.

Zebra GX430t

The GX430t user guide documents both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing at 300 dpi. Ribbon is required in thermal transfer mode. The guide describes a 12.7–38.1 mm roll-core range; its optional cutter limits must not be presented as a universal media-width specification.
